If you’re looking to prepare your current English language skills to assist in a corporate environment, a Business English (or English for Business Communication) course is the one for you.
This type of course requires you to have at least an intermediate level of English prior to a General English course. This is necessary to meet the linguistic requirements for admission.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Courses of Business English focus on the development of a commercial vocabulary and writing and oral skills for public speaking and presentations.

Schools may apply different learning modules focusing on a variety of themes. Some examples are:
- Administration
- Tourism
- Marketing & Sales
- Management
- Customer Service
- Intercultural communication
Business English courses usually run for a period of 12 weeks and may be customised, depending upon specific needs. They have a weekly intake on Monday.
Upon completion of the course it is possible to sit the Business English Certificate (BEC) exam that is divided into three categories:
- Preliminary: corresponding to European level B1 (Intermediate)
- Vantage: corresponding to European level B2 (Upper Intermediate)
- Higher: corresponding to European level C1 1 (Advanced)
